Susmita’s journey began as a personal one. Growing up in a family where tea was an
everyday ritual, she later explored it more seriously during her travels and career in branding and communications. But it wasn’t until she started tasting fine Indian teas and learning about their heritage, craftsmanship, and healing power, that her purpose became clear: to make the world fall in love with Indian tea again.

Through workshops, tea appreciation classes, corporate tea programs, content, and
storytelling, Tea With Susmita began building a loyal community of tea lovers — from hospitality students and wellness seekers, to hoteliers, expats, and everyday people who simply wanted to drink better tea. The brand has conducted India’s first-ever Tea Education Tour for hotel management students, launched Tea Appreciation Courses at graduation level, and curated mindfulness-based tea ceremonies for leading companies – leading to the creation of Indian School of Tea – India’s only global tea school.

From organizing the first Tea Festival India in Bangalore, to representing India at global tea forums like the Nomad Tea Festival in Europe and Australia, judging prestigious championships like the Nepal Tea Challenge, and offering a course on History of Indian Tea to Jeju Provensial University, South Korea, Susmita’s journey has brought Indian tea to the global stage — not through commercialism, but through care, education, and quiet elegance.
