Namring Tea Estate
Darjeeling Black Tea
Bold muscatel with notes of ripe fruit and honey
This tea is crafted from select summer-season leaves grown along Namring’s iconic “Hanging Muscatel Route,” an area known for producing exceptionally aromatic, muscatel-rich second flush teas with deep fruity sweetness and a smooth, full-bodied mouthfeel.
“Muscatel” refers to the naturally sweet, fruity, grape-like character unique to Darjeeling second flush teas. It is highly prized by tea connoisseurs and develops only during peak summer harvests under ideal climatic conditions.
It is medium-strong and richly aromatic — offering a warm amber liquor, vibrant muscatel notes, honeyed depth, and a clean, lingering finish. It is stronger than first flush teas but smoother than CTC or Assam teas.
It is best enjoyed without milk, as milk overpowers the muscatel character. You may add a touch of honey or a few drops of lemon if you prefer, but the finest experience is enjoyed plain.
Morning or late afternoon are ideal. The tea provides gentle energy, clarity, and aromatic warmth, making it perfect for elevating your tea-time ritual.
Expect a warm, honeyed aroma with notes of ripe fruit, soft florals, and a smooth muscatel finish that lingers pleasantly on the palate.
