Gopaldhara Darjeeling Spring Aroma First Flush Black Tea - Harvest From 137-Year-Old Chinary Bushes

Bright, floral, and wonderfully aromatic — Gopaldhara Darjeeling Spring Aroma Black Tea is a traditional and authentic first flush crafted from heritage Chinary bushes and century-old China hybrids, some planted over 137 years ago by the British. Grown at elevations rising up to 7,000 ft, this tea captures the pristine freshness and elegance of Darjeeling’s spring season.

Delicately hand-plucked and meticulously processed, the leaves appear as well-rolled dark green needles with tender tips, brewing into a radiant golden cup. The aroma is lively and floral, while the taste is exceptionally smooth — a clean, light-bodied liquor with the classic fresh flavour Darjeeling first flushes are celebrated for.

The cool winter temperatures before plucking have given this tea remarkable clarity and finesse. Expect a sweet, silky cup with a prominent flowery character, minimal astringency, and a strong, lingering aftertaste that leaves a beautiful imprint long after each sip.

The Tea Story

Nestled high in the misty slopes of Darjeeling, Gopaldhara Tea Estate is one of the region’s most iconic gardens — home to some of the oldest Chinary and hybrid China bushes still in active cultivation. These bushes, planted over a century ago, produce exceptionally aromatic first flush teas with a distinct floral elegance.

After a cool winter that slows growth and enriches flavour concentration, the tender spring leaves are carefully hand-plucked and gently processed to preserve their natural freshness. The result is Gopaldhara Spring Aroma — a tea that represents the soul of Darjeeling’s first flush season: fresh, floral, clean, and deeply memorable.
