Description
Falap, often considered, the original Pu-erh, comes from the Singphu Tribes of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, who make Falap tea for their personal consumption. This particular tea’s unique manufacturing process allows the smoky aroma to deepen as days go by, giving rise to a smooth and a very delectable tea. Tea leaves, mostly wild, are collected and dried in the sun, and then pan fried before pounding them into fresh bamboo stems. The stems are sealed, and the tubed tea inside bamboos is smoked for months. This process can continue even for years, further ripening the tea inside bamboo stems and imparting an intense smoky & distinctive flavor, resulting a classic handcrafted bamboo pu-erh from North East India. An ancient, heritage and truly indigenous tea of India.
